The Fireworks Festival of Running - Saturday 5th November 2022

What a banger !! despite the rather miserable weather yesterday, the smiles on your faces really lifted the day and the atmosphere was just superb. It was so nice to meet so many of you for the first time yesterday and to see so many of the familiar faces. It was great to see two VI runners completing impressive distances too, with Louise completing her 50th Marathon today and Paul finishing a 50 Mile race. Thank you to the brilliant guides for making this happen as well.

Congratulations to Jon Watkins for completing his 300th Marathon. It was as usual an absolute pleasure to be host to your occasion and to mark this by guiding for 12 hours was also an epic achievement.

We were treated to an amazing fireworks display at around 7pm which exploded around the track, creating quite an epic experience.

For anyone wondering, Alex has now stopped going round in circles with an amazing 296 laps completed and finished to the soundtrack of 'I think I'm Bonkers' was just so apt.

I would like to thank all of the marshals for keeping everyone motivated and fed and watered and to everyone who took part and made the day so much fun.

Until the next run, keep smiling and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
