Wow, and, we thought it was tough yesterday, today we had lots more runners achieving amazing results. with a whole bunch of new runners at our Horseheath Racecourse Venue
We had a local resident explain that the area had not been as muddy and boggy in all of the 20 years that they had lived in the area, it was due to snow and rain all of last week, so I think we are just Lucky eh...
Some of the guys turned up to do the double, with Karen, Di, & Lee all getting double Ultra distances over the two days, Glen completing a Marathon yesterday and an Ultra today, Double day Marathons for Kerry, John
We had many of you also opting to go further than planned and smashing your targets.
The concept behind the 6 hour event is that you can do as much or as little as you want to do in your own time, if you are able to get an Ultra distance in, that is fantastic, if you want to go for a 5k or 10k then that is also just as fantastic, with the added benefit of being able to take a rest and if you decide you want to try for more, you have time to do so, without the pressure
We always encourage everybody and want them to get the best out of the day, no matter what distance you want to achieve, with everybody encouraging each other along the route, and most importantly having people smiling at the finish line, feeling accomplished.
Finally I think its always important for us to give our thanks to our amazing Marshals and Volunteers, without them it would have been a very different affair, you have made the days go so brilliantly, we constantly get lots of comments from runners about how you made the event so much fun. I cannot thank you enough for all of your help.
So for now it leaves me to say Merry Christmas to you all, We will be back at Horseheath Racecourse for the New Years Run on the 2nd & The Turkey Trot on the 3rd January for some more amazing experiences with you all
